About me

Hi, I am Roxy Ladin. I am from Durango, CO, but moved up to Denver about four years ago to go to RMCAD (Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design) to get my degree in Photography. For a while, photography has been in my family. Ever since I was little, I would take pictures and videos on an old camcorder my brother and I had, and then stealing my mom’s DSLR camera. My mom taught me the basics, and I grew from there. I have always had the eye to capture a moment forever, and I love to look at photos from the past. I am known for finding old slides in thrift stores that were once strangers and keeping them for myself. I love fine art photography, portraiture, studio work, and fashion photography. I honestly love to capture humans and their personalities. I also love to go old school for my generation and use film; the darkroom feels like a safe place for me. My plan for the future is to get my own studio, with a darkroom attached, if not in my own home. I would love to focus my work on portraiture, studio, and fashion, as well as adding my fine art touch. I would also like to do my own projects and work in photography on the side for my own hobby and enjoyment, so photography doesn’t just feel like a job to me. I love to edit. The second I take a photo, I want to upload it right away to Lightroom and edit away. Even if photography is my job, it is still my hobby, and that is why I chose to be a photographer.
